To start your website you will at first require a Topic to start at. You can start a website on any topic but if you want your website to succeed than do not start a website on topic in which you are not an expert and passionate about.

• Gadgets – I just love them be it My iPad, iPhone, Mac I just love them all
• Music – I just love hearing Songs and my favorite artist is Jenifer Lopez!

After getting your 10 Topics try to get a unique combination and not a common one!

• Psychology and SEO – This is another very great idea , you can create a website which teaches how people behave when they see your results in the search engines, how to get backlinks psychologically without doing all that hard work and a lot more connecting psychology and seo.
• Memory and Gadgets – You can create a website on how to increase your memory power with the help of Gadgets, I think it’s a killer one.
• Psychology and Luxury Cars – You can create a website based on psychology of a Luxury car buyer and teach how people behave psychologically when buying a high-end car.

You need to differentiate yourself from the millions of websites available on the internet and USP is the only and the best way to do it.

I know it’s very challenging and hard to find a USP but take your time think on it day and night and you will find it eventually after thinking very deeply on it. So after thinking very deeply on these three topics I found the following USP’s

1 – Debating and Gadgets

USP – Apple always wins – What I am talking about is here you should always compare other products with apple do it in such a way that apple always wins, it will create a really nice social buzz and it’s a very good idea too.

2 – Psychology and SEO

USP – Forget the backlinks – Here you can teach people how to get backlinks psychologically and forget about the traditional ways of backlinking like directory submission, social bookmarking, etc. This is also a very good idea and can get very good news coverage as it’s a very controversial topic but it’s very good for a new brand to get news coverage be it negative be it positive at least people will notice you.

3 – Memory and gadgets

USP – How to increase your memory with gadgets without even knowing! – I didn’t find a very good USP here but still its okay. Here you can write about different ways of increasing memory by playing games, doing multitasking, by playing high-end and extremely hard games and stuff like that.

Now to decide which one is the winner we have to see a number of things which are as follows.

• Demand- Your target market should have demand, because in absence of it it’s worthless to make a site on that topic. And look at the demand of all three topics and compare them.
• Expertise – You should definitely be an expert on the topic you are thinking of creating a site. Compare how much knowledge you have on all your three ideas. If you are passionate than you are already an expert up to some extent.
• USP – Decide which is the best by comparing all of them.
• Ever Green Market- You should always select an Idea which is related to ever green markets like Gadgets, Exams, Psychology, etc and not short-term markets like Christmas gifts, Olympics, etc. People are never going to stop looking for gadget related stuff on internet at least for the next 20 Years. So it’s a very good ever green market you can hop in.
• Passion – You should always select a Market in which you have passion because as said above it’ll help you insanely.

After applying all these factors to my top 3 ideas I make up my mind for the Idea no 1 Debating and Gadgets. Because of the following Reasons.

1)      It has the best USP – Apple always Wins, This can help me differentiate my website from the rest 95% of the websites on the internet.

2)      It has a very good online Demand – People are crazily looking for stuff related to Apple vs the other brands, be it Mobile , be it Tablet, be it PC, be it Laptop, etc.

3)      My Passion towards Gadgets – This can help me really enjoy my work and even help me at the time of procrastination too.

4)      Expertise – See here is a very good point, I am not an expert at gadgets; but I have a very good knowledge related to gadgets and I know that I know a way more than a common man about gadgets.

5)      Infinite Content Ideas – This a very good Topic and you can write about so many things so you would not get short by content Ideas.

Conclusion

Hence in this way you can get the Idea on which you can create a really good website on which you can be proud of, which will be definitely 100% Unique, which will be something different from the rest of the internet, which will be your Greatest Asset, which will be your next big project and which will eventually make you some great money.
